1ST DAY CUSCO – URCOS – MUÑAPATA - RAQCHI – SICUANI

The pick up will be at 09:00 a.m. We will head south-east of Cusco, we will make a brief stop in the city of Urcos to stock up on some snacks, we will continue to the Muñapata sector to visit the turquoise waters, we will have enough time to enjoy the wonderful place and take many photos, then we will continue towards the town of Cusipata where we will have lunch, in the afternoon we will continue until we reach the archaeological site of Raqhi, a place that in the heyday of the Andean civilization was the greatest time in honor of the god Viracocha, is one of the most important archaeological complexes in the southern valley of the Cusco region, we will explore the place and at the end we will continue towards the city of Sicuani where we will spend the night.

2ND DAY SICUANI – LANGUI – PALLAY PUNCHU – ANDAHUAYLILLAS – CUSCO

At 5:30 a.m. is breakfast and 6:15 a.m. is the pick up, we will go to the town of Layo in the province of Canas, which is 1 hour and 30 minutes away, once we arrive we will approach the end of the car’s road and then follow the route walking towards the T'acllo sector, we begin the hike uphill after two hours we arrive at the first viewpoint, we will be very careful since we do not have enough signposting, the place is magical, we will go through the other viewpoints to be able to get the best views and photos, we will be at the place for at least an hour and then start with the return to the parking point where we will board the van and then return to the city of Sicuani where we will have lunch, then we continue towards the town of Andahuaylillas where we will visit the colonial temple that houses in its interior the most representative art developed in the colonial period, also known as the Sistine of America, after delighting ourselves admiring this wonder we continue our return to Cusco.

GEOGRAPHY: The area of the mountain Pallay Punchu is located in the Andes mountain range, specifically in the eastern Andes of southern Peru within the Vilcanota mountain chain, which is made up of valleys, deep valleys and high plains. The language spoken is Quechua, which has been transmitted from generation to generation since ancient times, and Spanish is spoken more in cities and large towns, even many of them they maintain their traditions and customs. In the cities, regional nationalism is practiced, the Catholic religion is carried out with traditional practices of the Andean religion, making it a cultural-religious syncretism, there are a long line of traditional festivities throughout the year, and many times they pause normal activities that one is going to do.

ECONOMY: Agricultural activity in many remote areas is the only livelihood, South American camelid farming is also very important and has had an impact. In rural areas, many peasant communities still practice ancient agricultural techniques in order to master the verticality of our geography. In the big towns there are fairs, and commerce manages to be an important economic activity as well.

CLIMATE: In general, the Andes has a particularity: it forms a natural barrier that constitutes the factor that most determines its climate.
